"...extend
the lazy days of summer by reading the best of the chick
lit mysts..." Washington
Post
"A perfect book for beach reading."
Queens
Chronicle
"...hot as the weather...Sofie Metropolis [is] such
a treat." Marcia Abramsom, Detroit
Free Press & Knight Ridder
"Summer brings with it a cornucopia of lazy-days
literature. Spadework recommends..Sofie Metropolis."
San
Diego Union-Tribune
"I knew for sure that this was my kind of
book when Sofie read one of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie
Plum novels during the story. A chick-lit detective who
reads detective novels - that's almost perfect...
I'm looking forward to a sequel to find out what happens
next."

Daily Post
Lynne
Welch rings in with a NoveList review of
Sofie Metropolis!
"Great characterization, especially of ethnic family
dynamics and expectations, add charm and humor to this romp
reminiscent of Stephanie Plum at her most wacky and wonderful."
Who's
Sofie Metropolis? And what did she do to deserve
a two-page special feature in the June issue of Romantic
Times BookClub? As Tony would say, "holy
sheet!" You could have knocked us over with a feather
when Carol Stacy pulled us aside not five minutes after
we'd registered for the RT convention in
St. Louis to show us the generous, fantabulous
piece put together using an interview conducted by fellow
author and pal
Michele Bardsley. We'd thought maybe,
maybe, we'd rate a brief mention in the wildly popular mag.
We never anticipated this! And while we're not entirely
sure what we did to deserve it (every author believes her
book rates at least a two-page feature, and she's probably
right), we offer up our most heartfelt thanks to Michele,
managing editor Tara Gelsomino, Carol Stacy and, of course,
Kathryn Falk herself. We're truly humbled...and majorly
psyched!
Local
13ABC morning new anchor extraordinaire
Rebecca Regnier put together a special
bit for summer reading, and right up front and center is
none other than SOFIE,
along with fellow MVRWA
member and Tor
author Elizabeth Vaughan's first book War
Prize! To read a transcript of the broadcast, click
